Privacy Policy

Who we are

Appcellent Yazılım Hizmetleri A.Ş. ("Appcellent", "we", "us") makes mobile apps and runs the website appcellent.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, including under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).

This policy covers appcellent.com and our mobile apps, including Stud Finder, Protractor, TCG Vault, Volume Booster, Colorzy and Decibel Meter (together, the "Services"). An app's own website or store listing may give extra details for that app.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Support messages. When you contact us, we receive your name, email address, the app you're writing about, your message and any details you add, such as your device model or an order ID.
• Account details. If an app lets you create an account, we store the email address and settings linked to it.
• Content you choose to process. For example, a photo you turn into a coloring page in Colorzy or a card you scan in TCG Vault.

Information collected automatically

• Usage and diagnostics. Which screens and features are used, app version, crashes and performance data. This is linked to a random app identifier, not to your name.
• Device information. Device model, operating system version, language, and approximate region (country), which we infer from settings or the IP address.
• Purchase information. Which subscription or product you bought, its status and transaction identifiers. Apple and Google process payments, so we never receive your card details.

Advertising measurement

We advertise our apps, for example on the App Store, Google and Meta. To understand which ads lead to downloads and purchases, some apps use measurement tools from Apple (AdServices), Meta and, on Android, AppsFlyer. These may receive device and app events such as an install or a purchase. On iOS, we only use your device's advertising identifier if you allow tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.

Device sensors and permissions

Some apps ask for access to a sensor or to your photos so they can work: the magnetic sensor (Stud Finder), motion sensors and camera (Protractor), microphone (Decibel Meter), camera (TCG Vault) and photos (Colorzy). Sensor readings and audio are processed on your device to show you a result. You can turn any permission off at any time in your device settings, although the related feature may then stop working.

Our website

appcellent.com doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Messages sent through our contact form are delivered to our inbox by our email provider.

How we use information

• To provide the Services and the features you ask for.
• To process and restore purchases and manage subscriptions.
• To answer your questions and support requests.
• To understand how the apps are used so we can fix problems and improve them.
• To measure how well our advertising works.
• To keep the Services secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
• To meet our legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules.

We don't use your personal data to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you based solely on automated processing.

Legal bases

Where GDPR or KVKK applies, we rely on these legal bases:

• Contract: to provide the Services, process purchases and answer support requests.
• Legitimate interests: to improve the apps, keep them secure and measure our marketing, balanced against your rights.
• Consent: where the law requires it, for example for tracking on iOS. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation: to comply with laws that apply to us.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Service providers that work for us under contract and may only use the data to provide their service to us: app stores and payment (Apple, Google), subscription management (RevenueCat), product analytics (Mixpanel), cloud hosting and databases (Supabase, Cloudflare), email delivery (Resend), and processing partners for image features.
• Advertising measurement partners described above (Apple, Meta, AppsFlyer), only to measure ad performance.
• Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect our rights, users or the public.
• A buyer or successor, if our business or an app is sold or merged. This policy would continue to apply to your data.

International transfers

Our service providers may store or process data outside your country, including in the European Union and the United States. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, and we follow the transfer rules of KVKK.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above. Support emails are kept for up to three years after the conversation ends. Usage and diagnostics data is kept for up to two years. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting laws require. Photos sent for processing are used only to create the result and are deleted within 30 days, unless you save the result in the app. After that, we delete data or make it anonymous.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent. Under KVKK (Article 11) you also have the right to learn whether your data is processed, to know the third parties it's shared with, and to ask for compensation if you suffer damage from unlawful processing.

California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We don't sell personal information. To limit sharing for advertising measurement, decline tracking on iOS or reset your advertising ID on Android, or contact us. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We'll reply within 30 days, and we may need to confirm your identity first. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. In Türkiye, that's the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).

Deleting your data

• Deleting an app removes the data stored on your device.
• If you have an account in an app, you can ask us to delete it and its data by emailing [email protected] from the email linked to the account.
• For other data, such as support emails or analytics linked to your device, write to us with the app name and we'll take care of it.

Children

Our Services are not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we'll notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here with a new date at the top, and if a change is significant, we'll let you know in the app or by other appropriate means.
